Pollo Tropical - Gainesville

Today we were greeted with a huge smile from Allison. She's such a breath of fresh air! She took our order immediately, but did not hurry, she made us laugh and in the few moments of our interaction, she made us welcome. The few employees we contacted were also beautiful. Food came out quickly and hot! Great experience.

We've been living in South Florida for years. Pollo is a taste of home for us. After an extensive waiting in the car thru over 30 minutes, chicken was delicious hot and damp, rice and beans perfect and extra curtains. I tried to finish a rum and coke's new offer was three dollars well spent 5.8 flan and quattro leche. Four star ratings because we had the food on the parking lot, because companies did not open to the full service but wait so long in the drive through and dinner in the car. Otherwise great value and food large employees much appreciated

I love pollo tropical. I really appreciate their vegan options, even if the smell of chicken and pig wants me, I could be partake. This is not the best pollo tropical I have ever been that you go to the Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa location, but these guys are really close to this brand. Service was good, you can say that they have some staff problems, but they do their best.

2/20/21.Great food. While waiting in the drive thru you could see how 14/20 cars go by across in Chick fil before you. Place with great potential but horrible operational management from corporate.3/24/21 Went today again 35 minutes wait drive thru. Got there daytime left nightime Not other option. Doors are locked and guess are not allowed inside. I feel like they are doing me a favor for selling me their chicken with rice.w black beans. Great overworked staff. Corporate wise they are a disgrace as a business model with an excellent product. They should represent latin community better not as sloppy as they are. Their name is Pollo Tropical not Chicken from the Tropics.

It’s been few years since I been in to a Pollo Tropical. I was disappointed with the chicken breast was dry and hard to cut(they didn’t have knifes and even saw another couple asking for a knife), wedges were old and.hard as you can see in the picture. Overall taste/seasoning is not there, atmosphere/ was not what I expected or remember, it was hip hop instead of Spanish music. Now service was great, very friendly, please keep that up, food and atmosphere please step that up, I would hate to see this place go down anymore. Thank you!
