Papa John's Pizza - Gainesville

During our visit to Gainesville, we decided to order Papa John's pizza for delivery to our hotel. Our children had never tried it before, and after tasting it, they declared it the best pizza they had ever eaten! The staff was friendly, and the delivery was prompt. We ordered two large Supreme-style pizzas with stuffed crust, and they were absolutely delicious! I really wish there was a Papa John's in our hometown! It's the best pizza ever! I’m usually not a fan of pizza sauce, but I loved how light it was—unlike other places that drown their pizzas in sauce. These pizzas had just the right amount! We will definitely be ordering again the next time we're in Gainesville!

While the staff is consistently polite and helpful, it appears that the quality has noticeably declined in recent months.

I have been a customer at this Papa John's since it first opened many years ago. While the pizza is generally good, there have been times when it was overcooked. Recently, however, I was extremely disappointed to find that the dough was only half the thickness it usually is, which is something Papa John's is known for. Additionally, they put too much sauce on the pizza, making it resemble a Pizza Hut pizza, which I find utterly unappetizing. As an Italian American with family in Italy who owns pizzerias, I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur. In the past, Papa John's was one of the few places in America where I could enjoy a decent pizza, but it seems those days are long gone. With their negative public relations and the skimping on ingredients along with changes to their recipes, it seems they are on a path to failure. I won't be returning to this restaurant again.

I called to ask about the heart-shaped item, and the person on the line was very quick with my order. He said it would take 10-15 minutes, but it felt like it was ready even sooner. I really enjoyed it, thank you!

Papa johns on the planet. they act as if they would do a favor to them and take care less that they pay for their order. the command was wrong. has not changed. had to change back, then it would be 10 minutes for the rest of my order. while my pizza got cold. never again.
