Naq's Halal Food - Gainesville

Although it is unfair to judge a place on a single menu item, I feel that the impression of this place depends strongly on what they order. the gyroscope was good, nothing groundbreaking, only a solid gyroscope and exactly what they would expect if they had one before. my gf ordered an salat that she found violently underwhelming; he drank over a king-size bed of the Schnäppchen-Eisberg castle. to be fair, I would like to order an salat here to order chicken nuggets in an Italian restaurant. if they want one that has been properly executed by a fast eating place, they go next to chipotle. go to this place (and many other places) know what they are good and order accordingly: otherwise do on their own faust.* our total amount was approx. $22

I decided to try Naq’s for the first time as soon as it opened and I have been back time and time again. Great gyros and fantastic burgers. You can never go wrong with their mozzarella sticks or onion rings either. Support local business, Naq’s does not disappoint.

Good food with large portions. Drink choices are limited and they are cans instead of fountain which is a bummer. I got a Philly cheesesteak which was great although it did have Mayo on it which isn’t typical in my experience. Still tasted good but it was unexpected. $13 for sandwhich, fries, and a can of coke is a bit much imo $10 would be more competitive. However this place is open until 3am on Friday/Saturday nights which is rare for restaurants around midtown since covid.

Not only they increased the prices for most of the menu items, also the portion size got smaller, not to mention their NYC location has cheaper priced menu than this.Edit: Since the owner responded, this is the reply back: the wings I ordered via Grubhub, they were definitely smaller in portion than what I used to get previously. And menu prices were less at the beginning of Fall and they can't deny that they have increased it afterwards.

Chicken and rice was pretty good. Generous portions, properly spicy harissa sauce, tender chicken. The mozzarella sticks were surprisingly delicious too. We ordered delivery and food came on time. Prices are reasonable for Gainesville. Would order from here again!
