L'incanto - GAGLIANO DEL CAPO

After some hundred kilometers trough the heavy rain (we miss the last roundabout to cancel the trip) few minutes before our arrival the rain stop and we can enjoy the view and the food

This is such a glorious setting. Was only five minutes from our villa so we went there a couple of times. October, so not busy and the owner and her sons had time to chat to us. They speak English, French, German etc. Service quick and efficient, but obviously out of season. Food was pretty much the same menu you get all along the coastline here. Generally it's all fairly good not an awful lot you can do wrong to a piece of grilled fish, sword fish carpaccio, and mussels. But the seafood linguine was fab and, as everyone has said, the remote cliff side setting is just amazing. Plus you can totter down the steps and brave a swim afterwards. Food marginally pricier than other similar seafood restaurants on the coast, but would still recommend.

We thought it would be something for tourist, expensive and not good quality! WRONG! It was a lovely lunch with of course an amazing view but also with a tasty dishes and nice service. They were welcoming and efficient and the food was fresh, with a good quality! a menu translated in 3 languages (Italian, English and French). The view is unique and the food is good .... what else could we ask for !!!

Alcuni mi avevano avvertito: Ma, al netto della vista spettacolare sulla scogliera del cielo, devo dire che mi sono trovato bene. il servizio era molto gentile e ultra-rapida. i piatti tutti buoni, in particolare gli involtini di spada e fritti. Forse la critica era legata ad una vecchia gestione. Tornerei sicuramente.

Highly recommend restaurant for a nice lunch or dinner with spectacular view. We went here twice for lunch and all plates were fresh, tasty and nicely presented. The terrace has a spectacular view of the coast line. There is parking and stairway to a small platform from where you swim.
