Incredible location, deserves to be absolutely visited. one of the best beaches of Salento in absolute. clear water, mainly being resorts of reefs. in the least uncomfortable part for families with small children like the paths to reach the rocks, to walk, are quite wrapped, but despite this there is a small sandy part extremely easy to reach. absolutely worthy of stars.

In August 2021, we had a delicious coffee in Baia del Ciolo. From the terrace of teh restaurant, the panoramic viewpont on the caves and the Adriatic coast is wonderful and breathtaking! A small paardise.

The Ciolo Bay is a lovely, clean, clear bay with tons of birds and fish to observe. Bring a snorkel and mask, you don't want to miss the fish, you can see all the way to the sea floor. We came in early June, the water is freezing cold, so use a wetsuit if you have one. It looks like there is sand in the photos, this is cement, this is not a sandy beach. So pack towels and stuff to sit on. There are sharp lava rock on the sides and cement on the floor. Also bring swim shoes, the rocks are sharp and some are slippery with algae. Well worth the visit, really sunning scenery, plenty to see and observe. Lets keep it this way make sure you take your trash with you to keep it clean and free of plastic and trash.

Great place to swim, but best to go very early in the morning before it gets busy, it's absolutely lovely if you are here alone! Later in the day it does get packed and the kids often jump off the cliffs which looks like great fun!
