Went in to order a footlong; didn't realize that it would be attached to the manager. Needless to say, very happy about the service I received.
I went to Boardwalk at 8:25pm on 9/5. I was asked what my order would be and not until after the order was ready for toppings was I told they were not accepting cash. They did not close until 9pm and took out their cash till already. I only had cash on me and I did not have enough money in my bank account. Instead of working on a solution, the female deli maker told the male cashier that she forgot to tell me it was card only and left it at that. Ultimately I needed food and had to pay a $30 overdraft fee to my bank for the sandwich. Not a great experience.
Disappointed. I’d like to give a good review as I’ve enjoyed Boardwalk for years but today there were five people working behind the counter and only two customers in line. They rushed through my order, forgot ingredients because sandwiches were being passed back and forth. My order was almost switched at check out but the other customer noticed it. I thought about this post as to be fair, but the workers were unorganized and rushing when there was no one else in line that ended in mistakes, only to have a chalkboard sign asking for goggle reviews at the end of the line. Well boardwalk if you would like reviews you might want to fix your customer service first. I know the owner cares about their business and it shows in Boardwalks success. If he was there today this would not have been the atmosphere.
No one ever sitting but live the food and staff here. Only wish the Jenison location get act together.
