OK we heard about A Baker and how good their sourdough and pastries were and we heard three mills serving their bread at various cafe so we thought we would source out the originating spot. This is a hard place to find as it is saddled in between building and is very inconspicuous with only small stencilled markings on the door to say its three mills. Once into the place you are delightfully welcomed by very inviting staff, eager to understand what they can do for you. Smell of baking goods are obvious and so is their love for it in their showcase wall which was very unique and impressive. We decidedly agreed to pace ourselves in enjoying this place and its offerings by limiting our enjoyment to a few pieces of their lovely creations each time we visit major either for Costco, Ikea or the shopping complex. It makes all that shopping almost worthwhile and even bearable. So my first recommendation (beside get any and all sort of bread offerings without any hesitation - you can see these people love their work and am proud of them) is their poached pear in short crust pastry - OMG it was short and delicious breaks when it needs to and melts when it has to and the pear was incredible soft yet not dissolved to slob, a very precise and must be well practiced art. Put this one in your bucket's list.
Buku is a solid option for dinner! I always find myself enjoying dinner, but the price is a bit to high for me.
Ate here with a coworker and neither of us were happy with our mealsI ordered a salmon dish and when it arrived the salmon was raw inside.
Buku was one of those places where, when I recently tried it I wondered: 'what took me so long??' My friend and I were attending a show at the Duke
