Wrangler Buffet - Furnace Creek

This restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere (Death Valley), so my expectations were quite low. I’m not a fan of steaks, and with half of my family being vegetarian, it was a challenge to find a place that would suit everyone, especially with four kids under 10 in tow. Surprisingly, we all loved this place! They offered kid-friendly meals and were very accommodating, unlike some other upscale steakhouses that can be a bit snooty. They even had some excellent vegetarian options. While it might not serve the best steaks in the world, it's definitely considerate of diners who don’t exclusively eat meat.

The staff was very friendly, even in difficult circumstances (it was 120°F today with power outages), which is why they earned some stars. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing; even the bread was stale. I could have accepted this if the prices were around $7-$9, but at $27 per person, it feels like a rip-off. Future customers, take note.

I dined there with my family and we were charged $26 per person for the buffet, which typically would only cost around $10. The food quality was only average, maybe a C+ at best. Overall, it wasn't worth the price we paid, but we didn't have many options at the time. I definitely recommend seeking out alternative dining choices.

I had breakfast at this restaurant, and it seems that their remote location has made them complacent about their service and food quality. The bacon was nearly raw, the French toast was tough, and the biscuits were hard and dry. In my opinion, if someone works in the food service industry, they should strive to provide the best experience possible instead of just getting by. I found the restaurant at Stove Pipe Wells to be much better.

I dined here during my stay at the Furnace Creek Inn, and I have to say, the $25 dinner buffet was the worst I've ever experienced. It was so disappointing that we went from being frustrated to laughing uncontrollably! You really need to check out the attached pictures to believe it. My recommendation: make sure to take a look at the buffet before deciding to eat there.
