Lido’s Tavern A Poncha Do Lido

Oh my god, what a joy was to stumble on this little kiosk of a restaurant near my hotel. exceptional poncha with freshly pressed zitrus right in front of them. the best garlic bolo do cacco and ham and cheese prego (also delicious garlic) I had also on my trip. and as good as possible! the owners are incredibly friendly, eating is fabulous, and the price cannot beat. I can't expect to come back.

The best bar on madeira. great and nice owners, they have a few cakes with everyone, they really care about their guests and are absolutely amazing. we even got tips from them what else to see on madeira. they make great burgers and their poncha is the best we had on this island.

Freshly made poncha one of the best we had in funchal. nikita was also delicious. the owners of the bar are originally madeira and are very friendly. we enjoyed the drinks a lot and also him, explain the preparation and differences of madeira ponchas.

Try to get a photo of this complete burger as if it comes, they will want to tear right into it as it answers all their carnivorous needs. they will stop a second and realize that they provide a review for the beautiful and professional service that micael and marlene in this wonderful facility and know that they do not manage fairness no matter, they need to see in real life the pracht that camera technology can not yet capture. the owners are the stars of this experience and their island experience will come enriched to this quantum local hidden gem. I still place the best burger, poncha and service on the island and I have been wondering for two years around madeira. I can hardly expect to see what micael and marlene do next. their passion for the service and the food they offer is enriching and they offer an environment where they want to come back again and again.

Great little place! Welcoming and helpful staff/owners. Amazing Poncha and if that is not your thing try the rum based milkshakes (Nikita). Definitely our new favourite for drinks and snacks
