I loved the look of this bar, a lovely light and airy interior with a superb eye catching brick serving bar as the centrepiece, nice vintage photos of the Costa Del Sol adorning the walls and great decor and furnishings, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this tapa bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets that make up the Los Boliches area which is a cool distract to visit. My brother and I were here on a really hot Sunday night, this place was busy with a great atmosphere, we got seats outside were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we both opted to have that most Spanish of beers namely red mahou beer, these bottled beers were served in tip top condition being iced cold, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were only here for drinks but I must say that the meals leaving the kitchen looked and smelt delicious and on our next visit to here we are most certainly going to sample their meal menu. I really enjoy red mahou beer, it's slightly stronger than the green mahou beer, has a bit more of a kick to it. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we only stayed for the one beer before we moved on for a first time visit we were very impressed with this tapa bar. Er Tapeo is easy to locate on Avenida Jesus Santos Rein in Los Boliches which is an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some great architecture and a major tourist destination. A wonderful tapa bar in a great location and if your in the area well worth checking out.
I had lunch here today, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.The presentation was very good, as was the food. I started with callos, which was very good, but perhaps, not to everyones taste. Callos is a stew, consisting of tripe, garbanzo beans, blood sausage, in a tomato base, and maybe a bit spicy, but I find it quite good. I had rosada fish, which was served with salad and potatoes, and I had still water to drink. This all came to 16 euros, which for the amount of food I had, fantastic value. The service was very good, and no problem with language here, the waitress speaks English. Er Tapeo is located on Avda. Jesus Cautivo, Which used to be named Avda. Jesus Santos Rein. This is the street that the elevated railroad runs down, and it is almost on the corner of Avda. Acapulco and the railroad street. I think that this restaurant will surprise you.
Targetting largely Spanish customers it's overpriced and a little pretentious. Small rations but, Quality of Wines and food is excellent and as a tourist I would recommend a visit. Recommended because we have been a few times and it's friendly enough although we normally head to the more local haunts.
We hadn't been to this part of Spain for a couple of years having eaten on previous visits at this restaurant really found the standards to have slipped even though the facia of the place itself has been improved. We ate here on 15/10/15 felt there was not the variety of food as in earlier times, the waiter service was reasonable. Our second visit was on 19/10/15 felt although this is a low cost restaurant it was a bit of an effort to serve us. The food when it arrived was not as good as the previous visit, we were not offered any condiments, waiting staff stood around smoking. We asked for the bill, our waiter then spilt a glass of wine over a diner breaking the glass; after 10 minutes we had to ask for the bill again, which we duly paid but weren't given the receipt. Most restaurants acknowledge you as you leave but there was nothing. We have recommended this restaurant in the past but sorry to say would not be as quick to do so this time.
Excellent tapas at fabulous prices. Stayed in Los Boliches and went for dinner a few times. Well worth a trip
