El Tropezon - Fuengirola

This was our favourite restaurant in Fuengirola. Hidden a few streets back from Los Biloches station on a quiet street, it had outdoor and indoor seating. The restaurant was very Spanish and definitely popular with the locals. The food was fabulous…so tasty and well presented with ample choice and reasonably priced. We will certainly return next time we are in the area

The perfect local restaurant. Don't be put off by it's appearance as this place is a little gem. Lovely homemade food at very good prices. Service is great and very friendly too. Go on....... give it a try, as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Bar El Tropezon was a great bar my twin brother Stephen and I found as we were wandering around the winding streets that make up the wonderful district of Los Boliches and what a great find. The interior is superb,an authentic traditional Spanish tapa bar with great decor and furnishings including superb tiling,a long serving bar,lots of seating options spread throughout this tapa bar both inside and outside, it's a great place and one I am so glad we found. My twin brother and I were here on a roasting hot Monday afternoon, bar was getting busy with a great atmosphere, we opted to have a vermouth each,these were served iced cold,we just kicked back and chilled out and took in the great tapa bar we were in. I really enjoy vermouth, it's a lovely refreshing drink,perfect for the hot weather and it made a nice change from the more lager style beers we had been drinking earlier on in the day. We really enjoyed our vermouths in here and although we only stayed for the one drink before we moved on for a first time visit we were very impressed with this great tapa bar. Bar El Tropezon is easy to locate on Avenida Acapulco. A great bar located in the wonderful Los Boliches area and well worth checking out.

Restaurante con menú diario en los boliches, algo escondido y por eso tranquilo, raciones algo escasas pero comes bien

Buen sitio para comer un menú del día, aunque las últimas veces que he ido, la experiencia no ha sido la mejor. Siempre hay un señor mayor sentado en la terraza dando voces y fumando, lo cual es bastante desagradable si quieres sentarte a comer fuera. El pil-pil no me ha gustado ninguna vez que lo he pedido. Son 4 gambones congelados trozeados al ajillo. Y aunque lo pida rojo, siempre sale igual. Se ve que no tienen pimentón (que no esté marrón ya ni cayena en polvo en esta cocina. Bastante curioso. La cosa es que cobran unos 5€ más (15€ por el menú cuando ponen el pil pil en la carta, y sinceramente, no lo vale. El pescado a la plancha siempre está muy bien hecho, sin pegas en ese sentido. La fruta (piña me la han dado en mal estado un par de veces. Se ve que dejan la fruta en la lata abierta durante días, y no saben que, cuando sacas una rodaja de piña de la lata, y el jugo está lleno de mijitas de la piña, significa que NO ESTÁ BUENA YA. La probé y me picaba toda la lengua, a parte del sabor a lata que tenía. En general, excelente servicio, buena comida, pero un poco decepcionante algunos detalles como los mencionados, que le restan puntos al sitio a mi ver.
