Hunan Express - Ft Walton Beach

In the past this has ALWAYS been my go to place for good Chinese food. I have referred many people to this restaurant. Today my pork fried rice was raw, to the point it was chalky tasting and there was not 1piece of pork in it. The pepper steak had 5 pieces of beef in a huge pile of undercooked onions, the bell peppers were cooked well. The cream cheese wonton tasted as if they were made yesterday and heated up today. The egg rolls were great. Very disappointed. I understand everyone has an off night, so I called the restaurant to tell them about my food experience in the hopes they would be apologetic and appreciate the fact I was trying to let them know something is off tonight and nobody else has this experience. Well, all I got was yelled at by the woman on the phone who said The rice is cooked, the rice is cooked, nobody ever complain about the rice! If you don't like the pepper steak, return it! I would have eaten there again, would not have stopped over 1bad night. But being yelled at and basically called a liar sealed the deal that I will never eat there or refer anyone again.

I super fast, really good egg roll and amazing dinners. Highly recommend this please.

I’ve been coming to Hunan’s for 28 years. Every time the food has been so delicious and The owner always treats me like a good friend. My favorite is meat with mixed vegetables or chicken wings. One of these days I will get that recipe for the chicken wings but the owner keeps telling me it’s a family secret recipe.
