Hightide Seafood Restaurant And Oyster Bar

The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was meh. The food was not good and overpriced. We had a variety of food and didn't like any of it. I would not eat there again, too many other great restaurants around.

Love the outdoor patio, the inside smells like smoke horribly. The food last year was really good but was awful. Everything overcooked and oysters looked old. Won’t be back unfortunately it has gone down hill.

I grew going to this restaurant which was always known for great food at a fair price, unfortunately not anymore. I was told the restaurant sold to new management several years ago and quality has gone way down. All our food tasted terrible. Heck even the water tasted like dish water. To make it even worse, the prices are very high. Only good comment is our server was really nice. I hate to write negative reviews, but hoping this may help it improve because I have so many fond memories of this place and I want it to succeed.

We stopped at Hightide in Ft. Walton Beach. We had the gumbo, soft shell crab sandwich, a dozen raw oysters, and the stuffed trigger fish special. The food was excellent. One of the owners was walking around. She stopped and spoke to us for 10-15 minutes. The soft shell crab was a little less than crispy but still good. The owner ordered another complete plate even though we hadn't complained. This was a completely enjoyable dinner. My only issue is that it was a little dark inside. I'll definitely return if and when I come back to the area.
