Shadows Grill - Front Royal

The view overlooking the golf course is stunning, and the staff is incredibly friendly, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The only downside was that they had stopped serving BBQ, which is the only reason I can’t give it a full 5 stars. I hope they bring it back or update their online menu soon!

Shadows hosted a special luncheon on their terrace for a group of boys and men who had just completed a 115-mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. Brian did an excellent job coordinating the menu to accommodate our group's needs, showing great flexibility in making adjustments to better serve us. Kim was our main host, and both she and her colleagues were friendly and incredibly helpful. Kim even surprised the boys with candy that hadn't been planned, which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a delicious barbecue-themed meal featuring pulled pork sandwiches with two sauce options, BBQ chicken leg quarters, collard greens salad, pasta salad, baked beans, cookies, and unlimited soft drinks, tea, lemonade, and coffee. I highly recommend Shadows, and especially Brian and Kim, for their wonderful service and accommodating nature.

The atmosphere may not be what you typically expect, but they have plans for a redesign of the interior, along with investments in an outdoor deck. As someone who hails from the east coast, where you can find some of the best food, I have to say that the 8oz burger with Swiss cheese and sautéed onions ranks among the best I’ve ever had. Also, Brian, the manager, is accommodating and will ask the chef to prepare special orders if possible.

This place is fantastic! Reliable prices, considerable dishes and employees are regularly very welcoming.
