The At Friends Uncorked - Friendswood

I responded to an advertisement for a part-time bartending position and was scheduled for an interview on Saturday, March 16th at 4 PM. I arrived early, but the interviewing manager, John, was not ready and still getting dressed for his shift. This was a sign of things to come. After the interview, I was asked to return at 8 PM for a working interview with no pay. Despite participating, I was treated poorly and then told to start my job on Tuesday at 8 PM. When I arrived, I was treated disrespectfully by John, who claimed he did not recall telling me to come in. After reminding him of the conversation, he apologized and admitted he should have notified me that I was not needed. The owner, Sharon, ignored the whole situation. John promised to call me the next day about future steps, but never did. This experience has caused me to lose out on other opportunities, and I am extremely disappointed in their unprofessional behavior. A simple and honest answer about my status would have prevented all the confusion.

I have visited this restaurant several times over the past few months, and I have been disappointed with the atmosphere. I used to enjoy live music from local bands on busy nights, but recently I have only heard music playing from speakers. I am not sure why there are no musicians performing anymore - whether it is due to COVID restrictions or the bar's policy on live music. I am quite disappointed by this and hope to see live musicians on the patio soon!

Jess was extremely hospitable! I had an excellent first time at this restaurant and I will definitely be returning for karaoke and ladies night!

Visited again for our anniversary. I love the atmosphere of this place. Small, local and very laid back. Reminds me of many of the local places I visited when living in Austin. Service is wonderful and the charcuterie board is yummy. Highly recommend.

Awesome wine and beer selection, gourmet small plates, great live music. Good service. No cover charge.
