La Escondida - Friendswood

La Escondida has a very upscale feel to it. I love that a bean dip comes out with the chips and salsa. Price is on the higher side, but the quality and presentation is good.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, encouraged by its high ratings. Unfortunately, the fajitas and food were quite bland. My daughter ordered nachos with chicken, but there was barely any topping—just a little bit of chicken, beans, and cheese on the tip of the chips. The margaritas were watered down within minutes as well. I won't be returning to this place.

It was my first time and I will sure visit again when I'm in Friendswood. The staff was professional, friendly, and quick. The food was so delicious especially the chipotle potatoes. This is the place to be when you are craving good Mexican food.

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try tonight. I had been intrigued for some time, especially with the positive reviews, so I thought it would be a safe bet. Unfortunately, we found the food to be quite bland, and our server appeared somewhat bothered by our requests. It might have just been an off night for them, but we won't be returning.

Some aspects were good, while others were mediocre. The location is convenient and the margaritas are excellent. Interestingly, the chicken fajitas are significantly better than the beef options.
