A Solid Sit-Down Chinese Restaurant. This is definitely a place to enjoy a sit-down meal. Prices are reasonable, typically around $10 to $12 for dishes like chicken with broccoli. The food is quite good, although the service can be hit or miss. It seems to vary depending on the waiter or the time of day, but it’s not enough to deter me from returning. Overall, it’s a quality Chinese restaurant compared to typical take-out spots.
Got the chili chicken and it was amazing. Not to spicy (I woulda liked it to be hotter), but really flavorful. Only thing is it was pretty expensive for the 3 piece.
We were on the wait-list for picking up chicken. We arrived at 6:00pm for our 6:15pm pick up. We called and they advised they will have the food out by 6:15pm. As promised, girl runs out of the restaurant at 6:12pm with 2 large bags for us. She asked if I would like her to place the bags in the car. She advised one had hot food and one had desserts. She graciously thanked us for the order and we were on our way. We live in Western Suffolk, and GPS said 40 minutes to arrive home. I was concerned about the chicken getting soggy during the drive. We had brought paper towels to put in the containers to catch condensation, but everything was packed so perfectly we decided not to try to open the packaging in the car. The unique and delicious aroma filled the car, and we were so excited to try this chicken! We ran in with the bags and unboxed the hot food. We ordered too much! We did not realize that the chicken meals came with multiple sides. The chicken... something every self proclaimed foodie needs to try once! If fried chicken is your niche, this is a new standard that pushes the margins to measure against. Whether you love it or hate it, this chicken redefined the entire fried chicken scale. The flavor ... Spicy, sweet, like Piri Piri met original KFC, rolled in the spice drawer and came out best friends. The meat itself has a slight tang that keeps you coming back for another bite. The texture ... Crisp crisp outside and tender inside. This review is way too long.... And I didn 't even get to tell you about the delicious sides and knock your socks off dessert ... 5 Stars easy.
Upon sitting down, we were promptly served a teapot and began our lunch with cocktails. My brother opted for a classic margarita, complete with a salted rim, while I enjoyed a rum and Coke. For my main course, I chose the Hunan lamb, which was exceptionally tender and practically melted in my mouth. My brother selected the Bird's Nest Delicacies, a delightful dish featuring lobster, shrimp, scallops, and mixed vegetables, all beautifully arranged in a nest of roasted potato strands drenched in a creamy white sauce. He even managed to finish the potato nest! By the end of our meal, we were both fully satisfied and decided to forgo dessert. It's worth mentioning that the Beijing duck is a specialty at Beijing House.
