I've been to a lot of Thai places and this one was amazing. I had super low expectations based on the area it's in, but once we walked inside, talked with the incredibly nice owner and tried the food, we were completely convinced. We got the Tom yum soup, my favorite soup of all time, and it was perfectly hot without being overwhelmingly spicy. The green curry was also perfect. Highly recommend!!!
My man and I decided to go grab something to eat after a deadly hike at Mission Peak! I almost died..its no joke! So I found this restaurant in Fremont. The food there was DELICIOUS! One of the best I've had compare to other Asian places I've gone to. It's pretty hard to find good Asian restaurants in my opinion. If I like, I'll be sure to return. I don't live in Fremont but if I'm ever in the area I'll definitely go back. I got Khau Poon (red curry vermicelli noodle(ground beef), my man got Thai Boat Noodle Soup with FAT Noodles. I also got Papaya Salad, Laos Style, pepper, a little sweet To-Go. Love the Vermicelli noodles and cabbage that comes with it. So fresh and yummy. You guys have got to try this place. I hope you'd enjoy it as much we both did.
This restaurant is in a very non-descript and tiny shopping plaza. It would be easy to drive past and just miss it. The parking lot is also really small. It made me wonder what part of Fremont I'm in because it felt so unfamiliar. They also had all the shades drawn on their windows so I wasn't even sure I was walking into the right building. I came on a Friday night with 2 other people around 6:30 and it wasn't crowded at all. There were only a few other parties there at the same time. It was my first time trying Laotian food and I really enjoyed most of the dishes. The food overall is very fragrant and flavorful. Reminds me of a little bit of Cambodian and Thai food. Stuffed Angel Wings- This dish was good, but I honestly think they are better at Sala Thai. Still a solid dish to order and would probably get it again. Tom Kha- Coconut Sour Soup- this was my favorite dish of the night. I really enjoyed the flavors of the broth. I loved the sour taste and the pork was also cooked perfectly. I would definitely come back just for this soup. Opp Savanh Beef Stew- I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this dish. We wanted a curry dish and was surprised when it came back and was a soup dish. I think it's bit confusing to list this under the curries on the menu, but I'm guessing they do that because it has a little yellow curry in the broth. Probably should have ordered an actual curry dish instead of a stew. The stew was still really good and the meat was tender and flavorful. It still tasted great the next day too. Moke Pa- steamed catfish- I love love love this dish in general so I ordered it because I've had it before at a Cambodian restaurant. It was a little unexpected that they brought out the dish with the bamboo leaves unwrapped already. I personally like it when they serve it in the bamboo leaves and allow us to open it once we are ready to eat it to keep all the flavors and steam inside the leaves. The fish was delicious and packed with tons of flavor from all the herbs. I highly recommend this dish. Nam Kao- Crispy Rice Salad- this dish was not exactly what I was expecting. I wish it had more sausage pieces in it. I will definitely be back to try other dishes next time.
I just dined at the Green Champa Garden and ordered the spicy cashew chicken, papaya salad, fried rice, larb, Pad Thai, spring rolls, and Thai iced tea. Our food arrived remarkably fast, and everything was absolutely perfect. I will definitely return to enjoy a meal here again when I'm in town. It's the best Lao/Thai food I've ever had!
