Two of us shared chicken wings, a national burger, and an apple and blue salad; which was too much food so the serving sizes are plentiful but the food itself is average at best. The burger and chicken wings weren't particularly flavourful, the salad had a strange perfume like flavour and the pecans tasted old. I'd return to meet friends and have a drink, but eat elsewhere.
Best ribs in Fremantle. Service could be better. A little slow in getting food out from the kitchen. But it is worth the wait. Will be back.
National hotel fremantle Awful. So noisy and food below average. Dried out chips, soggy thick batter on fish. Won't go back. Awful - could't finish meal quick enough so we could leave.
Stopped in for a cheeky Friday lunch and pints at The National in Fremantle. Simple menu. Simple pub grub. I opted for the Friday lunch special of battered Shark Bay whiting, chips and salad. Fish was decent. 4 palm size fillets. Chips were great. Rustic style. Skin on. I was ok with the meal being served on a wooden board. That usually irks me but the size of the meal demanded something bigger than a plate. No salt or pepper in the shakers though.
