The Modern Eatery - Fremantle

Delicious food, backed by warm, attentive and friendly service in a delightfully cozy little restaurant. A perfect dinner had on a rainy Freo Saturday night.

Love this place. So fresh. Delicious. I recently had my 30th dinner here. Intimate setting. Everything is made to order. The best Japanese in freo.

Really good quality sushi rolls and they gave free miso soup for giving them a shoutout on Instagram (This was a while ago)! They're a little pricey but very nice service. Their rolls are super soft and melt in your mouth (Don't even know if that's how sushi should be described but it worked!) Excited to come back and eat lots more!

Amazing food, great service and lovely staff. Made special orders for the kids. Highly recommend. Book in advance or arrive early in the night does get busy.

Despite the name The Modern Eatery not sounding at all Japanese, the food and service here is impeccable. The word Eatery can be exchanged with Restaurant - a place where food and drinks are prepared and served. It certainly feels generic but there is nothing generic about their food, it is top notch. Prices are what you expect to pay to eat quality food out in Perth (Fremantle) these days.  I absolutely loved their food. The premises feel a bit small so its not somewhere you want to hang out for hours unless its a busy saturday evening in Freo and you are heading out afterwards. It is close to Clancys, The Fed and the National. It is very centrally located and you can easily walk from the train station to the restaurant within 5 minutes.
