Creatures Nextdoor - Fremantle

Ive been going here since it was the loft around 08. I really enjoy the atmosphere here.Its a sunday night, typically windy freo night and the band here is churning out decent tunes. We had pipsquek cider which goes down nicely. We ordered side dishes which included southern style chicken which was a delight, the bread with balsamic vinegar was solid....the chips on the other hand are way to greasy. Had the pork too which was only av. The service is and has always been top notch. Really friendly people here. The Creatures Next Door is pretty darn good imo.

We've been coming here since it opened as The Loft, have held functions here and recommended many others over the years. We've always found the service quite remarkable. Today though not so. The waitress was unhelpful and condescending when we had a special request. She slunk off to ask the Manager, and the next thing another young girl came to us and asked in a patronising manner 'Is everthing OK?' as if we were a problem. I asked if she was the manager to which she replied she was. When I mentioned that we keep coming here because the service is so good but that the waitress we had just experienced did not quite fit with the culture, she went on to make excuses that (unfortunately) she was new and make us feel that we were the ones that were being difficult. Not the service we have come to expect. Smarten up Creatures! We are locals, as well as local business owners. We are your bread and butter. Don't treat us like fools. There are plenty of other happening places opening in Freo that respect us and deserve our business.

Myself and a few friends decided to stop somewhere for a bite too eat an a nice cold beer on the beautiful weather fremantle had to offer this Saturday. My friend bought along her beautiful dog, and he was greeted with smacko's and water, how friendly!! He decided to try the tasting platter of beers on offer, free of charge :) we ordered some chorizo too go along with our range of tasters, beautiful chorizo! The staff that work at both of the little creatures establishments are always lovely and FULL of life, I have never had rude service. Not once. Keep up the great work guys! But please add some jalepanõ poppers!? :)

We came here for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. We ended up being the only people in the whole restaurant apart from the staff! We decided on getting the pulled lamb sliders with coleslaw on brioche, sweet potato and pork ribs. The pork ribs were nice and sticky, with a sweet chilli sauce. They weren't fatty at all! Just mainly meat. The sweet potato was soft and tasty and warmed me up. The pulled lamb sliders were sensational. The brioche bun was so soft on the inside. The pulled lamb was flavoursome and the coleslaw was fresh and crisp. The best meal at Creatures Next Door.
