(And the Spanish really know how to Enjoy a day out !! Anyone reading this needs to get there ! 22nd June,we were there , going back on July 11th for my wife's birthday ! UMmmmm
Main dish was served with canned vegetables also the fish's Gall bladder was punctured, appertizers were decent but the desert was just sad (canned fruits) flan straight from market. And to top of that not any compensation was given even though my mouth tastes like vomit.
Second visit to this restaurant with our family located on the lake. Lovely views. Hake was two portions. Flan is cream caramel . Thoroughly enjoyed it. Check for closed days.
Right on the edge of Negratin Reservoir at the end of a long track, this is a hidden gem. We arrived too late for lunch but they knocked us out some great tapas. We sat on a large terrace overlooking the stillest reservoir I’ve ever seen. Tapas very good price. It’s supposed to be busy in the summer here but great today.
This restaurant is situated right on the edge of the Negratin reservoir. It is an attractive building...there is ample parking... plenty of shade... seating indoors, terraced and outdoors...beautiful views across the reservoir and surrounding mountains. It has to be one of the most coveted locations in the area......and therein lies the problem! Having stopped there for drinks, before we set off to walk, we scanned the menu for vegetarian possibilities and reserved a table for that evening 's meal. That turned out to be a huge disappointment. My gaspacho andulacia was insipid and totally lacking any of the traditional crudities. The salad was almost a standard salad served with a menu del dia and the asparagus to follow was tinned....at this time of year! Our friend 's monk fish was dry and tough. Service was perfunctory and we felt an attitude of 'get 'em in and get 'em out, there 'll be plenty more tourists tomorrow '. This place has so much potential, but needs to think hard about the idea that a romantic atmosphere, in beautiful surroundings will compensate for a general lack of care and poor food. It won 't!
