Bonte Wafflerie Cafe - Freemansburg

Bonte has a few prepared sandwiches and salads that are avalable in a grab-and-go, which I have not tried. They also have a variety of hot and iced coffes with various flavor suryp options. I have not tried these either. Bonte claims to have an authentic Belgium street-vendor style waffle. I wouldn’t know, having never been to Belgium. To me it seemed like a pretty average waffle. It was fresh and hot, sure, but nothing else seemed particularly spectacular. They offer a variety of toppings and mix ins, I requested pecans, after which the clerk asked if I would perfer them in my waffle or on top of my waffle. I find this a charming option. They also offer waffles with ice cream on top, which I suspect is the way to truly appreciate their waffles.

I don’t think that the other people who have rated this place were fair since they didn’t seem to try very many things. I usually get a waffle with bananas, strawberries and dark chocolate mixed in. Heaven! The sandwiches are also very good, I think i have tried 3-4 different ones. For breakfast the tosted brioche with sausage cheese and basil is fantastic. The only problem I have had at this place was something was left out of my order twice. When teenagers are working be sure to double check your order!
