We came back after a trip from the city to kopenhagen, and it was a challenge to find a place where the kitchen was opened before 10 o'clock, as I had another night of max burgers (very nice vegan choice, but maybe not two days in order) dreading. I called formula b to ask if they had a table for us and could provide vegans to which they answered. we arrived 20 minutes later, and they served us a delicious 4-course dinner, including dessert. I think the price was 130 dkk per curs, which seemed very reasonable for this quality of food and presentation. the eating was absolutely beautiful presented, and I would recommend it very, but the next time I will make sure that better time as it is the type of place they want to eat slowly, they enjoy the aromen about wein and beautiful talks. perfect for celebrating any kind and beautiful occasion to dress, but we were welcomed all the same in T-shirts and shorts.
I visited Formel B during a long stint in Copenhagen and chose it above any other restaurant in the area. I cannot recommend it enough, the food, service, and ambiance are all incredible. The menu is structured as 13 individual specialty dishes arranged in a lightest to heaviest order. You choose 5, and they are brought out in the same order as the menu shows them, although waitstaff may move them around so that you and your fellow diners can experience the same dish at the same time. The waitstaff were kind and knowledgeable about the food and drinks, and were able to explain every element of each dish, which was terrific to learn about as a home cook. Not only is the food incredible, but the non alcoholic menu is varied, interesting, and delicious. The food and drinks are an experience unto itself, there’s a reason it’s had a michelin star since 2004. I hope every visit is as good as mine!
Fantastic experience Top class service, present without being intrusive. Food in a special class
I had a couple of days in Copenhagen and thought it’d be the perfect place for my first Michelin star restaurant experience. It was a splurge for me but absolutely worth the experience for something I’ve always wanted to try. Plus the price point is quite reasonable for the level under which this restaurant operates and in comparison. You could tell each dish was well thought out and there was a consistency in the menu that made the meal flow nicely. Needless to say, the food was delicious, the reviewers and critics don’t lie! The staff is very polite and cordial. It was a slow night when I visited so as a reservation of one, I would have preferred to be seated at one of the empty tables near the window instead of being next to a wall, faced towards other diners it felt a bit awkward. Additionally, despite being a party of one, I would have assumed the same level of attentiveness from the staff if not more, however, it felt the other way around. There were small things I noticed throughout the night, the last example being that all other tables around me were asked if they’d like to have a taxi called at the end of their night but I was never asked despite it being close to midnight when I left. All the small things were extras I wouldn’t normally expect, so I absolutely didn’t mind, I was just surprised. By the time you’ve finished all the courses, you’ll be full and with a smile on your face.
