We had fried dumplings, crab cheese wontons, chicken teriyaki, seaweed salad, miso soup, spicy tuna rolls, sesame chicken and house fried noodles. Bathrooms were clean and they were putting out fresh flowers as we ate.
I'm confused that this is the best rated Chinese restaurant that is on this end of 17.The best way to sum this up is Chinese food that my toddler would enjoy. The steam dumplings filling was reminiscent of any Frozen dumpling you can get from a grocery store. The peking duck had absolutely zero seasoning, they are wholly reliant on the little cup of plum sauce they give you for flavoring this dish, not to mention the pack of tortillas I received that are supposed to be pancakes.Chicken and string beans were pretty much tasteless, which was surprising given that they were absolutely drenched in sauce, and somehow the chicken was dry.The only saving grace to my meal was a decent general tso's chicken, that had a dark rich sauce but was very lacking in chili, garlic, and ginger.I really hope that this is not the best that this area has to offer.
Love their egg fu young and shrimp fried rice! Awesome!
There are not a lot of decent places to eat on 17, but I do love Asia Cafes food!!! Is it pricey? Yes! Is it delish? Absolutely!!!!! I do wish they had a dinner combo option with meal, egg roll, soup, and rice or noodles. That would help in the price but still great food!
Very good as always. Haven't been disappointed here.
