Sugar Shack - Franklinton

If you want a king cake that tastes like a glazed donut, then run to Sugar Shack. The King cakes are the best I ever had!!!!!! The service was great and fast considering that they want a group of people who want desserts. It also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Fried shrimp poboy was excellent and large enough shrimp to actually chew and enjoy. You have an extensive menu and you can go quickly with your food if you choose one of the lunch specialities. I love treating my wife and children here. They open early and have breakfast food, donuts and plates size apple frits. Parking can become interesting when they are busy, but this is a place to take friends, family or employees for a nice meal.

There is only one negative for this restaurant. It's always busy when you're here. Honestly, I love the sugarbeet.

Breakfast was delicious and the king cake was also delicious. Will be back to another king cake..
