Sunset - Franklin

This is a nice restaurant that offers delicious Southern-style cuisine. I tried the Thursday lunch special, which was around $8, and it was fantastic. I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and turnip greens as my side. I love pairing a bit of potato and gravy with every bite of meat, and the combination was just perfect. The sweet tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. For dessert, I enjoyed warm apple cake, which came with a side of vanilla ice cream. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place. They don’t accept credit cards, but there’s an ATM nearby, and they do accept personal checks with ID, though it seems that might only apply to locals. The service was exceptional—very friendly and welcoming!

On Friday afternoon, we had a lovely, relaxing late lunch during sunset. The service was excellent, and the food was tasty. The menu is straightforward, featuring fresh specialties. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to try their famous fresh berry cake. Be sure to bring cash or a money card, as they don’t accept credit cards.

We ordered the chilihunds, French fries, and wobble rings. The chilihunds were a bit too spicy for my taste, but the fries were fantastic! I appreciate that you can place your order from your car or choose to dine in. There are many other items on the menu that I still want to try. I plan to come back to sample more dishes, but so far, the wobble rings are definitely my favorites!

Our family visited here twice! it is friendly, comfortable and reliable, prepared in simple wise. I had the cold plate and loved everything, including the tasty cole Slav! based on the number of people there every time we go, it is the place in franklin!

One of the best local restaurants! Food is always top notch, Southern home-style cooking, and the crew is always friendly and welcoming. 10/10 will always recommend- and definitely try their hush puppies (I love dipping mine in ranch)
