The staff was friendly, the prices were fair, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere was relaxing. However, I didn't experience anything that would earn it a 5-star rating—there was no extra effort or unique feature. If you're looking for consistent Hispanic cuisine, this is a great spot to visit regularly, but it may not be the best choice for a special occasion.
The food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. The fajitas were spot on, and I enjoyed the steak I had.
We dine at this restaurant 1-2 times a week and have been doing so for months now. It originally started as our go-to spot after practices since there’s not much else open in the city after 8 PM. Now, we keep coming back because we genuinely love not just the food, but also the owners and the staff. We refer to it as our family dinners, and there are usually about 12-14 of us. The owner always takes the time to chat and joke with us, and we end up laughing throughout the entire meal! Just last week, he made a wager with the boys: if they won their middle school football game, they could treat him to ice cream, but if they lost, they had to serve the dessert to him sneakily. The excitement in the air tonight is palpable as the boys are eager to get their ice cream and surprise Juan (and yes, we still managed to sneak it on him, haha!). It’s a little slice of perfection in the city, folks. If you’re in search of delicious food, laughter, and warm hospitality, this is the restaurant you need to visit.
Pleasantly surprised! had fajitas for one and very good. I didn't order a tweeper, zip jalapeno, steak n huh. I want to try shrimp cocktail next time. someone saw him receive and it looked delicious! great service!
I frequent El Charro a lot. It?s a good Mexican restaurant but beware of the take out and anything with chicken. The last few times I?ve gotten a to-go order they have shorted me on my salsa. My salsa cup will be half way filled up instead of completely filled up. I ate an ACP from my most recent take out and it had a shard of chicken bone in it that could?ve broke a tooth or much worse cut my insides up that would?ve cost $100,000 in medical bills to fix the internal bleeding, and that?s if it could?ve been fixed. Beware you risk your life when eating anything with chicken from these guys, you might accidentally swallow a chicken bone shard that leads to internal bleeding or break a tooth on a chicken bone shared that you had no idea you were going to be eating.
