El Pacifico - Frankfurt

As the title says, there was a bit of a wait for our request, but everything we had was absolutely authentic and fabulous. living in Germany for 3 1/2 years and coming from Texas has left a dry mouth when it comes to eating Mexican in Germany. however, while we were in Frankford, I noticed that this restaurant had quite a bit of customers on off hours. After convincing my husband that he did not want to have the burgers but wanted to have the Mexican food, he reluctantly agreed that we would eat there. we ordered the pico de gallo and combination tacos. first of all, this food is as good if not better than my South Texas favorite restaurants. The salsa Verde was absolutely The best I have ever had. It was so good, I ordered more and waited so that I could add it to the very last taco. The beer and wine were standard delicious for Germany and what I’ve grown to expect. If you are looking for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine, I do highly recommend this restaurant.

If you like Indian food, go to an Indian Restaurant.... if you like Mexican food, DON'T GO TO EL PACIFICO in Frankfurt. Salsa with Cardamom....!!! Margarita that gave me a headache afterwards I imagine that they used the cheapest Tequila and charged as if was a good Tequila). I am Mexican and know what I'm talking about. Slow service to top it all!

We were in El Pacifico on Friday evening when the place was crowded. So, we ordered drinks and food...food camed before the drinks, but they brought us a bottle of water for free which is, I must say, a nice gesture. Food was very tasty, staff very friendly, atmosphere very positive. At the end, we had Capirinha, Mai Tai, Mojito and Margarita and that was excellent. Margarita and Capirinha were quite strong (which we liked very much : Will be back for sure.

My last two visits have no been the best, previously they were out of 3 items I wanted to order when I went: chicken wings, guacamole and agua de tamarindo. Last visit: Nachos (totopos with melted cheese) were not that great. Most of the nachos did not have melted cheese on them. The drinks took forever to come out (we were halfway done with our starters). The waitress did let us know they had a new bartender that was in training, but at least the bottle of water could have been brought from the beginning as it requires no preparation. Music is too loud, especially for being so early (20:30) and they only accept cash, hard to believe we are in 2022

Although i received a confirmation, the girl in the restaurant was claiming that she didn’t have it. Why using an online reservation system if it doesn’t work? Arrogant attitude, didn’t ask sorry, didn’t offer any alternative. She just wanted us to leave.
