Beautiful restaurant, led by friendly people, ready to help with dine and drinks options. eating is very tasty, offers an interesting combination of German ethnic ingredients great selection of beer. the price-performance ratio is also great.
I stumbled in this little place by a sign that mentions vegetarian eating. it was disappointing to find only one option. a vegan chili. the server offered to remove the ham from a pasta court, but he did not suggest what he could replace...ham with. I appreciated that he allowed me to try the wee before I ordered a glass. the Spanish tempranillo was a descent. the food was delicious and the service attentive. I wait for my change after I paid the bill, but she didn't come. I could have guessed if the experience was better than average. this is a beautiful place for a carnivore, but vegetarian should miss it.
We tried the saffron mad herb three times. the second and third attempts were to confirm the very promising experience we have made for the first time. the sasa, as the owners pointed it, offers everything we like about a neighboring restaurant: a good and selected list of weeping, a great selection of beeing all kind, very friendly and professional service, and, not to forget the wonderful food! it begins with a small amuse gueule (variety of brot with patés) followed by creative and very tasty variations of the famous frankfurter handkäse (local fat cheese rich in protein.) I had the hand cheese tartar with roasted wasabi fruits, which was the best cheese of this type I ever tasted. you can choose from a small but beautiful menu of the standards or from a special menu that changes every week. what you like, you can't do wrong!
What a great experience. The food menu is small, each item carefully thought through with every ingredient adding something to the plate. When I first taste a dish, I have the overwhelming sensation that tremendous care went into the preparation. When I asked Kuros, the...owner (I've been twice, and he is always there and checking in with guests), how this ridiculously good sauce in a tiger shrimp appetizer was made, he said the main ingredient was lots of patience, along with rosemary, roasted tomatoes, and few other herbs and spices. Every dish felt that way, like when a family member makes something especially for you and a deep love comes through the meal. Now give that family member a creative, slightly wild side and some seriously good cooking chops. It's the type of meal you kind of don't want to touch because the presentation is so good. Then you want to eat really slowly and carefully not to miss anything. And then when you finish, you order more bread to make sure nothing is left on the plate. Great beer and wine too. Very extensive list, and staff is knowledgeable and happy to recommend good pairings with food. You have to go here. And then go again next week when the menu is probably totally different.
