Pizzeria Italia 90 - Frankfurt am Main

Always enjoy trying local Italian restaurants when in Germany and Pizzeria Italia 90 didn't disappoint. Visited on a Wednesday evening, quickly seated and ordered a beer and a margarita pizza. The beer was cold and as always just perfect in Germany. Margarita pizza was a basic cheese pizza here. The pizza itself: medium thick crust about 12 inches in diameter. Bread is good with a light taste of yeast. Cheese is good and not too heavy. The sauce is light in taste with little to no hint of seasoning. I usually prefer a little more seasoning flavor to the sauce but it's good nonetheless. Service was good with a pleasant and friendly smile. Would come again to try the pasta

Not a bad little place. The food was made to order and delivered to us right out of the oven. The menu has various predetermined pizzas, as well as a build-your-own pizza option. There are also a few pasta dishes available and a few meat options. There were 5 of us, so we took the largest table outside that could fit 8 people comfortably. We all ordered pizza for a mid-day snack. The server was very friendly and was very nice to the kids (he even reminded the boys that ladies come first, jokingly). The kids could not finish their pizzas although the pizzas are not exactly large. I had the Pizza Ricotta Uno. It wasn't bad. Thin and crispy with ricotta cheese and prosciutto. Olive oil was poured on top which added nice flavor, but was a little overpowering for my taste. The only real problem that I had was the location. Parking can be a little difficult to find. The locale is also on a pretty busy street and it can be loud during rush hour or when an emergency vehicle drives by (we had 4 go past during our meal). But, as far as food is concerned, we were all pretty happy.

This restaurant-pizzeria is no-frills however the pizza is quite good and the service is fast. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood and feel like eating pizza :)

I ordered one Pizza Italiano 90 and one salad. The salad was a little expensive. The quality was good.

A positive note is that this restaurant is open late. The night we went, they had penne with salmon as a special, but the salmon was not fresh. Not recommended
