Hamsilos & Schenk - Frankfurt am Main

There are a lot of restaurant trying to serve grilled fish but only few can get it right and this is one of them. The chefs are from Morocco while the menu is Turkish based. Certainly will be back on my next trip, thank you!

A nice restaurant, apparently more than 200 years old, but now in ownership of a Turkish family which has retained the German "Schenk" in the name of the place.Good food, more mediterranean than German, right in the center of one of the most vibrant quarters in Frankfurt.

Highly recommend this mid range restaurant. The menu is really long so the waiter walked me up to their fish counter and I just customized my meal!

We found a familiar and friendly place when we visited Germany. All employees even boss were friendly, prices were reliable. sea foods especially grilled octopus was good.

This was my 2nd visit since I enjoy having fish for a change. We were greeted warmly and seated even though we didn't have a reservation. The fish soup was amazing with small pieces of fish and vegetables in a tasty broth so it's not a heavy cream soup. My tilapia was excellent and I had a side of spinach, which was delicious having been sautéed in olive oil and garlic. The Turkish white wine I had was on a special so I had two glasses (20cl €2.90 each). The prices are reasonable for a delicious fish meal.
