The Old Christmas Station - FRANKENMUTH

The food was delicious. I think a lot of the issues we had stemmed from noncommunication. They seem to be short staffed, but never said anything about it. It took us quite a while to get our salads and appetizers. Took a while to get our dinner. They did not offer bread until we asked, and then there was a fee that just sort of surprised us. we received nothing until we were already sitting for an hour. We had reservations at seven and did not receive our salads until after 8:00. Then because of the delay of receiving the dinner we didn’t finish until almost 10 PM. Some of our party had drinks and expected to get another drink when the food came, but there was so much time between the drink and the food did affect the enjoyment of the overall dining experience 

We were a little hesitant about eating at the restaurant by the appearance of the outside. Upgrades sorely needed. However Rehabilitation was in the process and I am sure it will be nice when completed. That being said we were so happy that we went on in. The food and service was superb. We ordered rib eye steaks they were delicious. The plate as presented was a work of art. The wine paring was perfect. Our waiter was very nice, professional and knew the menu well. We would go back again. So don’t be put off by the outside.

Enjoyed a night out with my stunning bride for our anniversary. They helped coordinated a special surprise of flowers and went above and beyond with their service. Highly recommended to all, near and far. Worth the travel to experience first hand.

Station 100 is a beautiful little jewel in Frankenmuth. The owner is from Switzerland and all the food is authentic and homemade not mass produced. Call Doubletree for me Going, there has always been a treat for me. Their weinershnitzel with its phenomenal mushroom sauce, and spatzel home made to their Hungarian goulash to their steaks are all a treat. Their coffee is terrific and their desserts in particular their apple strudel is to die for. All I can say is a greatly appreciate having them there.

Very good menu. One of us had the pork Wiener schnitzel, two us the veal schnitzel and one a steak. The pork schnitzel was better than the veal and the steak was very good. Deserts were also good. Service was pretty attentive and they were very personable. The only negative comment is that they call themselves a “fine dining” restaurant but the tables really could use white tablecloths as the tables are pretty plain and not very attractive. It really doesn’t have a fine dining feel. Excellent wine list. If I was ever in Frankenmuth again, I would go back.
