The food was decent, but unfortunately, they had allowed their servers to leave just before three parties arrived, resulting in slow service. As for the atmosphere, the behavior of the other guests was quite terrible, and they showed the overwhelmed cook, who was also serving tables, an unreasonable amount of attitude.

When our ribeyes finally arrived, one was supposed to be very rare, but it turned out to be medium. We sent it back, only for the restaurant owner to insist it was cooked as we had requested. They checked it and confirmed it was cooked correctly. We explained that it shouldn’t be warm in the center, and that it should only take 30 seconds on each side. Then, the owner sent a staff member to inform us they were out of ribeyes. One of my employees opted for a New York strip instead. After we finished eating, they brought her steak to her. The waitress was excellent; she did a great job. When she brought the check, she mentioned that if we had any questions, we should see the owner at the bar. Upon reviewing the bill, I noticed I was charged for the steak we sent back and an additional $15.95 for the New York strip, which came with no sides. I went back to the bar to explain that the steak wasn't cooked as ordered, and therefore I shouldn't be charged for both. I was told that their cook had 15 years of experience and that the steak was cooked as requested. My steak also tasted like it had been reheated and was not cooked correctly. The others were overly salty, fatty, and tough. In the end, I paid the $175 bill and left, feeling disappointed. As a manager myself, I would never treat a paying customer the way we were treated. To everyone I had previously recommended the 100 Mile House to, I urge you to use your own judgment. I found it strange that for a Saturday night at 7:15 PM, we were the only diners in the restaurant. I hope this review helps spread the word so others don’t have a similar experience. When I asked for the steak back since I paid for it, I was told the staff was eating it.
