Georgie's - Fountain Hills

We discovered a true gem when we first visited Georgie's. The food is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is very inviting. Give it a try, and you'll find yourself coming back regularly!

Love this place! Great food and service. We've only been.for breakfast but it's become a staple on the weekends.

Three visits in two months, service in the main was slow but the waiting staff friendly. Food was okay, nothing to write home about. Our third visit will be our last. When a grumpy waitress rudely ignores my disabled husband and asks me to move hisdisability aid blocking the walkway when it clearly was not blocking any access to servers or patrons. I found this offensiveand we were made to feel unwelcome. We will take our custom elsewhere!

To summarize: The kitchen served me a sandwich that had very little meat. When I raised this issue, they refused to fix it or provide a new plate. Unfortunately, the waitress was treated so rudely that she ended up crying while apologizing, even though she had done nothing wrong. I took a day to cool off before writing this review to avoid reacting in the heat of the moment. I had ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, while my wife had a Gyro. When I took a bite of my sandwich, I was shocked to find that it was mostly onion and pepper. I opened it up to see almost no meat inside, but I decided it was just a mistake. When our waitress came by, I showed her the sandwich, and she immediately agreed that it looked light on meat and took it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, she returned to inform us that the cook insisted that the portion was correct and would not add more meat to my sandwich (while my wife's gyro had at least three times the amount of meat). The waitress then offered to cancel my order so I could choose something else, and I attempted to order a bacon burger. However, shortly after, she came back looking upset and said the cook not only refused to add meat but also outright refused to prepare a different meal for us. She offered to comp our meal and apologized, which was frustrating because she was not at fault at all. In the end, my family finished the fries from my plate and left, making sure to tip the waitress who had been so helpful despite the kitchen's behavior. We never asked for anything to be comped; we would have been happy to pay for both the gyro and the burger if they had been properly made.

I visited the restaurant alone for breakfast, and I received excellent service. I noticed that other groups, who were all larger parties of six, seemed to wait quite a bit longer, but they didn't appear to be upset. The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff was very accommodating. The ambiance during the day is much better, making it a great place for a meal. I truly believe Georgie's has found its niche. I'm happy to share how much I enjoyed my food, service, and the overall atmosphere. It's a nice place!
