Piccolo Café - Fortitude Valley

Piccolo is in a great location just across the road from Miami Beach.

Really average food, really average service, really average venue. So may nicer places nearby. Tried a coffee after the food was average, shouldn't have bothered.

After the abhorrent breakfast we had partaken in earlier this morning I needed a coffee hit badly. Was passing through the Valley & noticed this place. Thought they would know how to make coffee being as they were serving Italian pizza! How wrong & I am basing my score only on the coffee & service to reflect that. I ordered the coffee to have there & was served a take away cup (another pet hate of mine) They whipped it away when I commented & must have tipped it straight back into a "proper" cup, which made it not hot enough. Also there was no strength to the brew & no crema (probably due to the fact it was poured from the takeaway cup (correct me if I am mistaken here staff if you happen to read this) Anyway other than all this the staff were pretty friendly & gave me water without asking for it so thanks for that I couldn't drink the coffee!
