Big Eyed Fish Express North

The restaurant is overpriced for what you receive. The fish was served in small, uneven pieces and had a muddy taste. My French fries were undercooked. Both my partner and I felt unwell later that night after our meal. We won't be returning!

I visited a food truck where hush puppies and coleslaw were sold a la carte at the same price. I requested to swap one hush puppy for the coleslaw that comes with the 3-piece fish dinner, but they said no, offering instead an extra serving of fries. Since they weren’t busy, I agreed. However, I ended up receiving the coleslaw anyway, along with a smaller-than-usual portion of fries. I’m not a fan of generic, boxed coleslaw, and my experience with Big Eyed Fish left a poor first impression.

When we got home, we discovered that nearly everything about our order was incorrect. I had ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, but instead received a cheese tostada. Our 1 lb of fish was actually only about half a pound, and there were barely any hush puppies in the container. When I called the restaurant to explain the issues, the same server answered—she must have been the manager. She was dismissive and insisted that it was not her fault, claiming they had run out of grilled chicken. We had clearly stated our order was for a chicken sandwich and even specified grilled when they asked. Instead of taking responsibility, she blamed my family and me for the mix-up. I didn’t want to get into an argument with the rude server, so I just let it go. I typically don’t voice complaints, but as someone who runs a large franchise, I can say that the service we received was a poor reflection of what good customer service should be. I hope this feedback reaches management because it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find quality help. Anything would be better than dealing with such rude and unapologetic staff.

The evenings and sides were very good. I had fish and garnel with tasty mixed vegetables and a baked kartoffel. we will go back.

Awesome place!!! Everything taste incredible here. I got the 3 pcs dinner with curly fries and hush puppies. I also tried the clam chowder soap and clam strips.
