The Gulf On Okaloosa Island

Shrimp tacos were very good. Not very spicy to me. Love sitting on the water! Cute gift shop. The restaurant and everything else was spotless! The staff was super nice and friendly.

It seemed like the restaurant was trying a new bait-and-switch tactic with their menu, making us wait in line only to find out that they were out of many items. Despite the disappointment, we decided to stay since we had already invested so much time waiting. For $60, we ended up ordering a burger with fries, a lobster roll sandwich, and smoked tuna. Yes, that was $60 for just those items. The quality of the food was subpar. An average fast-food burger would have been better than what we received. After the server dropped off our food, they disappeared and we didn’t see them again. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed and will likely choose to dine elsewhere in the future.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, but the prices are quite steep. It's possibly one of the most expensive places on Okaloosa Island.

During my business trip, I had the pleasure of dining at The Gulf twice, and both experiences were fantastic. The food was excellent on each occasion. I also picked up some souvenirs, and Heidy was incredibly helpful in assisting me with the right sizes. She ensured that I left with everything I needed. It was a wonderful visit!
