Hungry Bear - Fort St. John

First time trying out this restaurant. We were just driving through town. Initially I was skeptical trying out an Asian restaurant in FSJ.But I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The food was well balanced and fresh. The chef cared about the flavor and the appearance of the dishes.We tried the FSJ sushi, fried rice, Korean BBQ Short Rib and the bulgogi.I would definitely come back again.

Delicious food and friendly service. I have tried their Japanese dishes and Korean dishes and have always enjoyed what I 've ordered. They also serve western dishes, but I have not tried them. They have my favourite 'toasted brown rice ' green tea. Service is always quick, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

First time at this place and the food and service was really good. The only thing I personally wasn't comfy in was the washroom but overall this is a great place to eat. Thank you

Pleasantly surprised at this Korean restaurant in town. The tofu soup was authentic. The pad Thai tasted more like a yakisoba but it was good anyways

Returned recently because of good past experience. The wait for service was long. We ordered the beef bulgogi. It wasn’t sizzling or steaming when served, in fact, we were able to touch the skillets as they weren’t that hot at all. The beef looked very dry, my friend asked if it had been cooked the previous day. The server tried explaining that this was just a different way to cook and serve the dish and it hadn’t been cooked on the skillet. A most disappointing experience.
