Applebee's - Fort Smith

I ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size of my meal. It was evident that whoever was in the kitchen put a lot of thought into the taste and quality of the food, which is becoming increasingly rare. Kudos to the chef for that!

What an amazing restaurant! The steaks I had were the best I've enjoyed in quite a while.

I've visited this restaurant a couple of times recently. The service has been excellent, and the staff are friendly. The food was quite good as well. I rated it 4 stars because the place appears a bit worn and neglected. While it seemed clean overall, the floors could use some attention—though I suppose that's to be expected when kids are dining in!

Food and service was very good. Some of the music was not our taste.

Party of 4, 3 appetizers mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and boneless wings one free app 2 of the three cheese penne pasta and 2 of the half rack of ribs, and we tried 3 dollaritas, a passion fruit dollarita, and tried both “spooky drinks” +a Dr Pepper . $90 total. Mozz sticks were barely warm but were alright. Onion rings were bland and rock hard. The pasta dishes were almost inedible because the pasta was severely overcooked and gummy. The sauce was not good and the chicken was bland. The ribs were also overcooked and not great. The bartender made all horrible drinks. The blue colored spooky drink was the best one and it was extremely sweet. The Dracula drink was gross and full of ice shards, and the margaritas were the worst I’ve ever had. Overall terrible quality. Had to flag waitress down 3 times. First time we have ever left food on the table instead of taking a box. The garlic Parmesan boneless wings and breadsticks were great though. Another person in my party left a similar review and was offered to come back for a comped meal to try them again… EDIT: we went back on a Friday evening and had a much better experience. The food all came out hot and delicious, and they had a different person behind the bar and made the drinks soooo much better. We had a new waiter and he did a fantastic job taking care of us. We did not try the same dishes but the pasta sides were not gummy and the burger and bourbon chicken were pretty good. So, Applebees has the ability to be good. Best bet is to go on a Friday evening or you may have a different experience.
