They add an extra $1 in addition to the price of the items you ordered and try to play it off as if it’s just the taxes!I ordered the 4 scoop gelato in a waffle bowl . The manager who assisted me told me it was 8.75 1 (waffle bowl). I paid but then later found they had charged an extra $1 that was not advertised. I tried to explain the situation and she was adamant in saying that $8.75 $1 0.50tax=$11.25.Instead of explaining how the extra dollar was added to my bill, she got defensive and kept saying that was just the tax, do you want a refund, and acted like they lost several customers cuz I took too long making my selection after I only tried 2 flavors before orderingThe whole experience was extremely unprofessional! I will not be coming back!

11/2023Stopped by on a spur of the moment decision for lunch after a workout. Have always seen it and always wanted to try it. Girls are very friendly and the menu is interesting. While the food menu is simple and enticing, we wish it had a couple more selections. The sandwiches are pre-made, and we both tried the chicken panini. It was missing something, and we both agreed. A little aioli would 've been good as the sandwich just fell a little short. Would love to see them reduce the health smoothies a little so they can carry more food items. We really wanted to like it a lot more. A helpful suggestion would be to consolidate the machinery around the counter so they can see the counter space in front of the customers and better service them. May not be back, but if we do, hopefully, we 'll be pleasantly surprised. Still, I 'm rooting for this location in a high traffic area. It is worth a first-time try. ?

Great flavor options always and SPECTACULAR customer service! When I visited on Tuesday, it was a regular day, not bad, nothing exciting, but Laura made my day with customer service. 5 star experience!!!

The gelato at the Kahala Mall location of IL Gelato Hawaii is absolutely divine! The flavors are rich and creamy, and there's always a wide selection to choose from. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to help me decide on the perfect flavor. The store itself is located in a convenient spot in the mall and has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. I can't recommend this gelato shop enough – it's a must-try for anyone visiting the Kahala Mall area. Five stars!
