Skye's - Fort Myers Beach

My son said this was the best restaurant ever he wanted American food which they have and is very good.

Loved the freid flounder and shrimp order! Ordered quesadilla as well. Do not recommend the chicken soup was not what I expected. Overall good food.

The variety on the menu is outstanding. We enjoyed the food, and our orders were served promptly. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that our waitress disappeared for a bit, leaving my drink empty. I'm not sure if it was related to a band that was coming in for one of the employees' birthdays. The band arrived before we left, and we really appreciated the music for a few minutes before we departed.

Both appetizers were supposed to come with chips, but we only received the complimentary basket with salsa (which was tasty). Once we finished those, the waiter promised to bring more chips, but we had to wait until the cheese had already cooled down. When an item on the menu states it comes with chips, it should include chips, not just the free ones that come with any appetizer. The street tacos were mediocre, and my wife had requested corn tortillas but received flour instead. The chicken mistica sounded appealing, but it was drenched in cheese sauce, which did little to hide the fact that the artichokes were canned instead of sautéed, and the tiny mushrooms seemed to be canned as well. Accompanying them were bland rice and black beans. Overall, we won’t be returning. We can easily find better-tasting and more reasonably priced Mexican food at home.

Atmosphere was nice (a lot of locals drinking the night away lol), food was great, service was good but could?ve been better maybe our waitress was having a bad night. Overall I would definitely come back again.
