Beach Pierside Grill - Fort Myers Beach

This restaurant offers a stunning indoor/outdoor dining experience right on the Gulf of Mexico, conveniently located next to the Ft. Myers Beach pier. We've enjoyed some fantastic dolphin shows during our visits. The one downside is the birds flying around, trying to grab leftovers!

After dinner, we took a stroll on the beach to enjoy the fireworks, but when I needed to use the restroom, the staff informed me that it was out of order! I had just come from the restaurant, and locals told me this was a regular issue since so many people request to use it. To make matters worse, the supervisor was rude, and I was seriously tempted to confront him about his behavior. I won’t be dining here again, and I wouldn't step foot on their property unless Chef Ramsey comes to show them some real improvement! But even he would likely end up firing some staff, revamping the menu, disposing of spoiled ingredients, training the cooks, and teaching them proper etiquette!

It’s unfortunate that the stunning views are the only highlight of this restaurant. The service was mediocre, and the food was overpriced for what it was. The establishment itself was unclean, and the decor felt outdated. We had visited two years ago and had a great experience, so we were looking forward to returning, but we left feeling very disappointed.

My family and I ate here during our vacation this October. The server was less then helpful and left our table in need of a busser throughout our meal. The food was awful. The mussels were over cooked, cold and mealy. When we let the server know she wanted a explanation as to why we did not like them. Their famous gumbo soup was served cold and unflavorful. Our salad was the only thing that made it to our table warm. The server did not care that out experience there was so awful that we left all our food on our plates. We will make sure to let our hotel and anyone else who asks, that they should not include this restaurant on their trip to the area.

After taking in the beautiful sunset on the Pier, we decided the Beach Pierside Grill was the perfect place to stop for dinner and drinks. We were extremely pleased with the service, food and ambiance! We will certainly return!
