The atmosphere is very nice , clean , staff were very accommodating and friendly . I was here an was able to experience their breakfast . I had The Classic eggs benny) the hollandaise sauce was very nice tasty and smooth, eggs were done nicely, the ham was so tasty, bun was very good as well , the potatoes or hash were very well prepared, moist on the inside and nice soft crunch on outside with allot of nice crunchy bits of potato . Very good breakfast!!! They were not shy on the ham in the benny .. i would definitely eat here again , no problem !! Opens at 4:30 am i believe …
I popped into the Earl’s for a cocktail while I was waiting for my flight home from work. I ordered a Boulevardier, the waitress asked me to repeat myself and so I did. She left, and then another waitress came by the table to ask me what I had ordered. I repeated myself a third time. The second waitress walked away and came back shortly to ask me how I would like my Belvedere served to me. I clarified that I had ordered a cocktail, not a vodka. The waitress admitted that she had never heard of Boulevardier, I took the time to explain the cocktail in depth. She left the table once again only to come back shortly thereafter; she explained that the bar did not have the ingredients to build the cocktail. Needless to say, I was very unimpressed. Every decent bar should have Bourbon, Campari, and Vermouth. In the end I settled for a glass of bourbon on the rocks, it was alright; the drink was brought to me with a plastic straw. I looked to the drink menu in search of a second drink. I tried to order a glass of local stout, only to find out that they didn’t have any in stock. The Earl’s at Fort McMurray airport is a sad show compared to other Earl’s that I have visited.hi
I tried something different than just a burger: tried the Short Rib Ravioli. Lots of food. This Earls is always busy, but service is good, and food comes out hot. Nice after being out in the bush for work...
This is ones return to civilization after being in camp somewhere further north... It is a regular Earls, and the only choice at the airport while waiting, especially as your flight is delayed, and delayed...
