Top Hat Delicatessen - Fort Lauderdale

We dine at Tophat every week and often bring friends along. Today, we arrived at 2:20 PM (they're open until 3:30 PM) and had a young child with us. I asked the hostess if we could sit in a booth, as it's a quieter area and more accommodating for kids. Most of the booths were empty. She immediately stopped smiling and said, "Would you mind sitting at the window table?" which is right by the entrance. I was surprised by her response, especially since I had already expressed my preference. There was another lady, likely a waitress, who witnessed this and rolled her eyes dramatically, prompting my husband to question whether we should go somewhere else. This behavior is highly unusual for the staff and seemed unwarranted. On a positive note, the food was tasty, and our waitress was extremely pleasant.

This is by far my favorite breakfast spot in all of Fort Lauderdale. The food is both delicious and fresh, and the service is incredibly friendly. The prices are quite reasonable too. I love bringing people here to enjoy the fresh food and delightful fruit juices.
