Sage French Cafe - Fort Lauderdale

Where should I start? Let's start with the house made godfather. It is made from a combination of duck and chicken liver and it is absolutely delicious. Next was the grilled octopus. Grilled perfect, this dish works well combine everything in a bite or just swirl the octopus in the oil of itself. Finished with peppercorn fillet mignon. The fillet was grilled to a perfect medium tare and it was melt delicious in your mouth. The accompanying peppercorn sauce was fabulous. The vegetables were great, but the roasted potatoes were nothing special. After all this food, I was too full of dessert. Will go back definately, and I recommend you try.

The Crepe christina was delicious! The chocolate mousse was incredible! I had a great time! Dessert Special Grand Marnier Souffle was the best!

Sage offers very decent French dining. The food is fairly consistent offering everything from lamb shank to scallops. The crispy duck is also consistent and generally tasty. I found the server staff to be pleasant and attentive, although I was there on a very quiet night. Sage has some wines that pair well with the food. With all the pizza, Italian, Thai and other options nearby this is a great place to immerse yourself in a French bistro in a nice atmosphere. The outside dining on a nice night is perfect.
