Pirate Republic Seafood Grill

Food is Okay and fairly price for florida but service is horrible. Adult beverages were watered down. Takes advantage of tourist...beware. I worked in restaurant industry for a number of years and the service is deplorable.

The location, food, staff and service at Pirate's Republic is wonderful. I fell in love with the place until I heard the owner talking to his band and various staff members, especially his treatment of a bartender. I am by no means a vigilante, but this man, Roberto, is so cheap and DEMEANING to everyone around him that I cant imagine how he keeps his staff (or anyone for that matter) around him. He is so cheap he made a bartender cry for accidently pouring someone a double instead of a single and embarrassed her in front of a customer, and the young male customer was upset and trying to pay for the extra liquor but Roberto insisted she (the bartender) pay for it. It was upsetting and disturbing and ruined what would have been a lovely experience. I would never go back simply because I’d hate to put any money in this monster's pockets.

I like the bar and the atmosphere. Both times my tab was around $200 because without my knowledge anyone that joins me gets their drinks added to my tab. I never offered to buy anyone's drink. Then I look like a smuck asking everyone to pay their bill. I will find another bar in the area.

The view and the food were excellent as was the service, the way the owner treats his staff in front of customers is unacceptable.

We went there last night to have a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. The server at the upstairs bar told us to go somewhere else if didnt want to wait (this was after we got a bit impatient after asking her for menus at least 5 times in 30minutes)...never experienced bad and rude service like this! We finally got our food...average to poor quality. There are dozens of better places in Fort Lauderdale, go there! Don't ruin your night at this place!!!
