My Big Fat Greek - Fort Lauderdale

My Big Fat Greek Restaurant was a pleasant big fat Greek surprise. Located on a backwater canal on Griffin Road it offers a very casual setting. The food is actually authentic Greek and though the Greeks have only had about 4,000 years to perfect there recipes, they finally seem to be getting it right. This is not a classy place. Just good food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. There are a lot of Greek Restaurants in Lauderdale area, and I'd put this as one of the top 4 for food quality and value. If you've tried all the Greek restaurants like I have, trust me on this, you could easily do a lot worse.

Greek cuisine is one that I don't enjoy many possibilities. It was just by chance that we stopped eating and trying this place. It's a basic place. Many tables and stands, an outdoor area and a small sound stage. The secret here is not in the atmosphere, but in the food. The staff is fast, efficient and polite. The menu is full, so there are many elements and variations to choose from. My wife and I chose the Gyro Platter. A 1/2 bread and a delicious garlic hummus were placed before us. Why not Pita? Because this bread alone is delicious. Within a few minutes our plates arrived. I was amazed by the fast service, in Miami so often dined where you need to wait independently. The Gyro Platter. Wow! In Miami, order this and let hunger. In this place, they roll you out of the door or you take another meal home. There is a complete dish of delicious items not only handmade gyros, but also tantalize with other very delicious items. I couldn't help but dig in and immerse myself. My wife and I are very pleased that the events will stop us in My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. W cannot expect to return.

The best Greek restaurant in the area. Very recommended. I'm going to lunch there 3 times a week and I've already lost 29 pounds in 6 months. Love it!

Best Greek salad with chicken! It's delicious. The spread for bread is from this world. Your lamb is also super delicately delicious.

Hi, NanC. Great place that is fun. The waiting staff is hysterical with great service. The food is fantastic and there are many. Very recommended if you like Greek food.
