Gran Lux - Fort Lauderdale

Our server was very good, offering recommendations and patience as we decided. The food was good, as always. My problem this time was the dogs. 3 in the time we were there, 2 getting into a barking match and one barked regularly throughout the time it was there. That did not make our experience there pleasant. If the dogs were two men screaming at each other, the restaurant manager would have asked them both to leave.

Well-prepared dishes, a very complete menu, but the attention of the people at the reception leaves much to be desired.

Came on a Sunday for brunch at opening (10am). We had a reservation but didnt neee one but it did get crowded. The chicken and waffles and american bfast hit the spot. The service was superb too.

Went here for happy hour like so many times before. Something has happened post Covid with this restaurant, And not in a good way. Ordered Mojitos that for sure were almost non alcoholic. Watched the bartender make other drinks and saw the tiny amount of alcohol poured in the drinks. Grand Lux do underestimate the customers taste buds. Surprise! We know by taste how much alcohol you pour in the drinks you make for us. Food good but not great. Didn´t feel the love. Better a couple a years ago. Do not recommend.

Given the size of the place, it is amazingly well run and efficient. We were very well looked after by a lady called Taylor who was extremely efficient and helpful. The range of food made it difficult to choose but everyone was happy with their meal. Note to self: don't order a starter when eating in an American restaurant! It really is too much!
