I wasn't particularly fond of the aged tofu, as it could have been crispier on the outside, but the rolls were delicious. I tried the asparagus roll and the sweet potato tempura, both of which were very tasty. I would have liked a bit more pickled ginger, though. My friend ordered a large serving of tempura and was pleased with it. We also had some wine; while it wasn't the best I've ever tasted, it was still enjoyable. Overall, the service was quite good.
I've visited this restaurant numerous times, and I can confidently say I've never had a disappointing experience. The sushi is always delightful and fresh, and it's evident that great care goes into its preparation. They also offer an incredible homemade ginger salad dressing that is simply irresistible, and you can purchase a 16-ounce container to take home. As a family-run establishment, you can definitely feel their dedication to both the customers and the quality of their food.
Our family recommends! Something for sushi and non-sushi eaters alike at fair prices for the portion sizes and quality. And our service was very friendly. Our server answered a lot of our questions about the menu and steered us in the right direction with our entree selections. A few tips- Shrimp tempura appetizer comes with veggies also. Best roll we had was the House Special. My parents, non-sushi folks, really enjoyed the hibachi entrees- shrimp, lobster, and salmon. Our overall verdict is really enjoyed it and will be back! Also keeping it on the list for takeout in the future. Nice to have this type of place in the area!
I should start by saying that I'm quite a sushi connoisseur. I've experienced sushi from various places around the globe, including Japan. Overall, the food here was good, but not exceptional. The sashimi was surprisingly fresh and enjoyable. My lobster roll was satisfactory; I finished it all, but it didn’t stand out as remarkable. My son ordered a bento box, which was great for $10—it came with a generous portion of food. The salad, accompanied by ginger dressing, was delicious. His meal also included miso soup, although it seemed more like a clear onion soup, packed with mushrooms but lacking tofu. The service was good, and since we visited around noon, there was only one other table occupied. As the only sushi restaurant for miles, if you're looking for a new experience, you'll have to venture further afield.
Where to start. Sushi in western Wisconsin. NVM it was survival food. Sashimi yellowtail defrosted in a microwave and slightly over cooked to a rubbery texture on the perimeter Frozen fresh scallop arrives ,,, yuck. Could have played mini hockey with it as a puck. See pic.
